I do like rhymes. Thus, the silly blog title.
I just returned from a wham-bam-thank-ya-ma'am trip to the beach. Again, with the rhymes. What I mean is that the beach trip was quick. We were there, and then we were gone. Yet, the trip was both fun-filled and relaxing. About the time that I started thinking that I really should take some pictures, it was time to leave. So, I can't prove that I was even there, unless you pull my phone records, my GPS service, and all the other intrusive technology that tracks my every move.
But, my point is that I wish I had taken some pictures, because the beach in February is lovely.
I did, however, manage to take my smart phone camera with me one early morning when we got up to watch the sunrise over the ocean. (Wait, I CAN prove that I was there!) Can you believe that we (Rob and I) did that? Well, my little buckeroo, we sure did! We stood on the beach in the fa-reee-zzing cold for about 30 minutes as the sun made its way above the horizon.
I'm always looking to take the perfect nature shot, so I snapped a lot of pictures. Like, 235. That's right, two hundred and thirty five pictures of the sunrise.
Now, as I look through my prized photos, I am trying to decide which ones are the best. Which has the best composition. Which has the best coloring. Which has the best angle. I have narrowed down the lot to my 12 favorite pictures. So...........
I decided it might be fun to get your input. Now, remember that it's just me with my handy phone--no special lenses, no fancy filters. I know there are some focus problems. I know there are some lighting and glare problems. But, I wonder if you would just take a look at these 12 pictures and tell me which one or ones you like the most. Each number and title is right under the picture.
Will you play along?
Whadaya think?
If you wouldn't mind, could you vote on your favorite(s)? Just leave a comment at the bottom of the post or, if you don't see the Comment option, look at the top, near the title; there might be a little speech bubble or the words "Leave a comment". Click on any of that stuff and you can type your response. That's one disadvantage of being the blog author--I can't replicate your screen to see what you see. If you can find the Comment option (You can do it! I have faith in you!), please tell me which sunrise picture(s) is/are your favorite(s). And, if you have time, tell me why.
Now that I am dabbling in painting and since I've always been a wanna-be photographer, I am trying to hone my photo composition skills. I can really use your help. Thanks. I appreciate your Photo Vote-o.
Gotta go, Joe.
Later, gator.
