I was going to write an article about procrastination.
But, it seems that I have put that off until sometime later in the future.
I will, however, share some quotes that I found regarding procrastination.
You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.
-Abraham Lincoln, politician
Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.
-Pablo Picasso, artist
My mother always told me I wouldn't amount to anything because I procrastinate. I said, 'Just wait.'
-Judy Tenuta, comedian
From now on I hope always to stay alert, to educate myself as best I can. But lacking this, in Future I will relaxedly turn back to my secret mind to see what it has observed when I thought I was sitting this one out. We never sit anything out.
-Ray Bradbury, author
We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.
In your actions, don’t procrastinate. In your conversations, don’t confuse. In your thoughts, don’t wander. In your soul, don’t be passive or aggressive. In your life, don’t be all about business.
-Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor 2nd Century AD
Are you a procrastinator? Which quotes do you like? What speaks to you more? And, which quotes do you think I like most? You can let me know now, or later.
Cue: Jeopardy Think Music
So here's the answer to the Final Jeopardy question:
What is: MY preference of quotes from Best to Worst:
- 1. Ray Bradbury – Excellent quote! I’m all about awareness and secret minds and beautiful stuff.
- 2. Marcus Aurelius – “Don’t be all about business.” He’s speaking my language!
- 3. Judy Tenuta – If we can’t laugh at ourselves….
- 4. Pablo Picasso – Sage advice. I’ll consider it tomorrow
- 5. Abraham Lincoln – C’mon dude, could you be any stiffer?
I'll try to apply some of these quotes to my everyday life. OK, this has been fun, but gotta go, I’ve got things to avoid, and more things to put off until another day.
Buh, bye!
